Advanced parking technology of Korea pave way toward Europe. Relate to Global Network project, representatives of Korea Parking Systems Industry Cooperative(CEO Ban won-ik, www.kparking.or.kr, hereunder refer to as KPSIC) visited European Parking Association(EPA, www.europeanparking.com) and Bundesverband der Parkenund Garagenhauser e.V.(BPGH, www.parkhausverband.de) last November. 2002 for the first time in business circles and made an agreement on joint business under cooperation.
With this, image of Korea small and medium enterprises were improved, also recognition and reliability of KPSIC were promoted. Ban won-ik, CEO of KPSIC, sad " Now is time to suit Korea parking technology with globalization and under this motivation we carried out that". Beginning of 2002, KPSIC had this result by trying to proceed harmonized and rapid international exchange, also designated Park seok-il who has wide experiences in international affairs as a DB construction committeeman and through Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency(CEO Oh young-kyo, www.kotra.or.kr) continuously contacted with European Association.

Conduct an agreement on cooperation and Participate in exhibition
Last November.4, Ban won-ik, CEO of KPSIC, and Park seok-il, DB construction committeeman visited EPA located in Koln, Germany and met Mr. Gehard Trost-Heutmekers(A Secretary General of Shop Committee of EPA and A Secretary General of BPGH) Mr.Markus Schonauer(CEO of Parking Security corporation in Germany and EPA Legal Advice Lawyer) and talked about movement of both parties Market situation and working, and just after that, they discussed actual affairs of joint business.
The subjects of this day are as follows, participate in 'Parken 2003(European Parking Exhibition)' which is schedule to open in Wiesbaden, Germany on June. 2003 Periodical International Parking Conference sponsored by EPA and discuss cooperative relationship of world parking system market contribute articles about current of Korea parking system market and ativities of KPSIC on EPA bulletin etc., share information relate to parking join international parking industry organization named 'Intertraffic' located in Netherlands, request aggressive cooperation and solidarity on international affairs etc., agreed that other things related to cooperation and specific plans are progressly discussed during propel joint business.

EPA, speak for profit of European parking business circles
EPA have headquarter located in Koln, west part of Germany, as an organization speak for profit of European parking business circles consists of 9 European national associations founded last 1983 in Madrid. At present, it consists of 20 countries' parking business representatives and 23 parking relate organizations and/or parking business representatives join as a particular member.
EPA's CEO at office is Mr.Edward J.M Vleugels from Netherlands and it is operated by an executive committee composed of director coming from each countries.
The present Secretary General of BPGH holds concurrently with A Secretary General of Shop Committee of EPA. EPA actively have been joining exhibition related to East Asia market and holding international symposium every 2 years dealing with traffic problems coming from prospection of European cities. Last September. 2001, 310 delegates from 24 countries already gathered in Oslo, Norway and there will be international symposium in London, England coming October.2003.
Especially, EPA's bulletin 'Parking Trend International' is first issued in last March. 1989, it have been dealing with wide ranges of EPA's new trends and movements of each members' parking business on 3 times every year.
'Intertraffic' located in Amsterdam, Netherlands, as a portal service organization of parking·traffic area provide service of exchanging information among each countries' parking·traffic organization and hold a parking exhibition both in Europe and Asia, this year in Ankara, Turkey and next year in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Global Marketing, Switchover of Understanding is the most urgent thing
From making first step by cooperation with EPA, KPSIC continuously make rink among world association and eventually build a global network. Most of all, widen members work area as actively joining exhibition and conference held in Europe, also cooperate with Chinese Parking Association as one of the model of global network and plan to held 'Seoul International Parking System Exhibition(a tentative name)'.
On top of those things, connecting with European technologies and capitals, KPSIC have a great plan to capture third party market like China, South-east Asia.
Committeeman Park seok-il pointed out " After above things finished, the global network is visualized then every corporations shall prepare language skill and adaptable manner, above all, switchover of understanding toward ISO, CE, GS is the most urgent business", and told his view "This may be a corner stone of other Federations of Small and Medium Business".
