Hyundai Elevator Named Fastest Elevator on Earth
Hyundai Elevator Selected as the fastest elevator on Earth 2012/08 Hyundai Elevator's (CEO Han Sang-ho) 1,080-meter per minute ultra-fast elevator was introduced as the 'Fastest Elevator on Earth' in IEEE SPECTRUM Radio's special report 'Fastest on Earth', which is part of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world's largest organization of electrical and electronics engineers. The IEEE SPECTRUM Radio special report was produced over a year of coverage and featured the world's fastest trains, cars, and helicopters in the Speed Machines category, and sailfish, peregrine falcons, cheetahs, and Usain Bolt in the Naturally Fast category. The IEEE visited Hyundai Asan Tower in June last year to experience the elevator's outstanding ride quality and interviewed Hyundai Elevator officials to introduce the company's ultra-fast elevator technology.
