Hyundai Elevator Certified to Achieve 13 Times Zero Accident Target Time

At the certification ceremony held at Hyundai Elevator's headquarters in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, on December 18, Han Sang-ho, CEO of Hyundai Elevator, attended and received a certificate from Park Dong-cheol, head of the Gyeonggi-dong division of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Administration, certifying the achievement of 13 times the accident-free target time. The achievement of 13 times the accident-free target time (4.68 million hours) by Hyundai Elevator's plants nationwide certifies that no accidents have occurred for a total of 653 days, which is the highest multiplier achievement record in the domestic machinery and equipment manufacturing industry (500 or more employees) and the first record to break the previous record (10 times/3.6 million hours without accidents). In the meantime, all employees comply with workplace safety rules and conduct joint labor-management safety inspections, as well as operate their own autonomous safety management system and labor-management autonomous accident prevention programs, and continue to conduct various safety activities to minimize the incidence of industrial accidents and eradicate industrial accidents through thorough safety and health education and management.
