Hyundai Elevator (CEO Han Sang-ho) announced on the 21st of last month that its social volunteer group received the 'Governor's Commendation for Excellence in Spreading Sharing Culture' from Gyeonggi Province in recognition of becoming an example of neighborly love by practicing sharing on a daily basis.

The 'Governor's Commendation for Distinguished Contribution to Spreading Sharing Culture' was established with the aim of promoting a culture of sharing by rewarding organizations that bring hope to those in need through sharing, and is awarded to organizations that have made significant contributions to the development of sharing activities such as volunteering and sponsorship for the vulnerable for more than two years.

The Hyundai Elevator Social Volunteer Corps was organized in 2002 by employees who voluntarily volunteered to serve the community, and since then, it has been devotedly carrying out various volunteer activities based on its sincere spirit of service, including home repair services for low-income families, volunteering in disaster-prone areas, and sponsoring community welfare facilities.

In June last year, Kim Young-hwan, a member of the Social Service Corps, was selected as an outstanding volunteer in recognition of his contribution to the community and received a commendation from Gyeonggi Province.

Meanwhile, under the slogan 'A company that grows by sharing', Hyundai Elevator continues to pay attention to the field of social contribution activities to pursue sustainable growth with all members of society by returning the benefits received from society through sharing. On the 26th of last month, Hyundai Elevator held a sharing event to purchase pears grown by 'Nuri's House,' a child welfare facility in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, and donate them to vulnerable people in the Gyeonggi region. The purchase of pears was made through the 'End-of-Salary Deduction Fund', which saves the end-of-salary deductions (less than 1,000 won) of Hyundai Elevator employees' salaries, and donated them evenly to social welfare facilities in Gyeonggi Province (8), families under the Infinite Care Project in Icheon City (30), and families under the Love House Repair Project (9).

Since 1997, Hyundai Elevator has been utilizing the 'End-of-Term Deduction Fund', which saves the end of employees' salaries (less than 1,000 won), and the 'Matching Grant Fund', which is donated by the company in the same amount, as a scholarship fund for the needy, and has been actively engaged in various social contribution activities, including various volunteer and donation activities and campaigns related to elevator safety.
