The Seoul Gangnam Branch of the KTSI (Branch Manager Lee Hansu) announced that on the 26th of last month, it conducted an elevator safety campaign at Seolleung Station on Seoul Subway Line 2 with 19 branch employees and 4 Seoul Metro employees.

On that day, the Seoul Gangnam branch distributed flyers and promotional items containing elevator safety tips to ensure the safety of citizens using subway elevators during the Chuseok holiday, and provided training to employees on how to respond to emergencies and how to manage elevators.

"We hope to improve citizens' awareness of elevator safety and make it a part of their daily lives by conducting promotional activities to ensure the safety of citizens during the Chuseok holiday," said Lee Hansu. Kim Kwang-rae, station manager of Seolleung Station, Seoul Metro, said, "Along with thorough safety inspections by the Korea Elevator Safety Institute, Metro will also conduct various safety promotions to prevent elevator accidents." The Gyeongin Regional Headquarters is implementing a plan to contribute to society in various ways by actively supporting not only group volunteer activities but also individual volunteer activities.

Meanwhile, the Gwangju branch of the Korea Elevator Safety Institute also held a safety campaign at Gwangju Boncho Elementary School on the 4th of last month to strengthen children's awareness of safe use of elevators, and held a safety campaign with practitioners from the Gwangju Buk-gu Office to distribute flyers on elevator safety rules to children and basic rules to follow when using elevators.

Oh Myung-ho, head of the Gwangju Jeonna branch, emphasized, "We will continue to ensure safe elevator use through continuous campaigns to prevent children's elevator accidents and establish an active cooperation system with related organizations." Lee Chang-hyeop, a practitioner from the Corporate Support Division of Gwangju Buk-gu Office, also said, "We appreciate the active safety promotion of the institute, and as practitioners of related organizations, we will strive to establish a safety culture by sharing information on issues related to elevator safety."
