Guangzhou Guangri Elevator Company Targeting the domestic market with the high-efficiency GreenMAX series Co-produced with Hitachi and Sowera to produce 15,000 units per year 2012/06 Guangzhou Guangri Elevator, part of the Guangzhou Guangri Group in China, is one of the largest finished elevator production bases in southern China with an investment of RMB 112 million and an annual production capacity of about 6,000 elevators. It produces GRF ¥± escalators, GRR ¥± moving walks, GVH freight elevators, machine roomless elevators (ESW), and GreenMax series of product systems for mini machine rooms, medical and marine applications, and is specialized in product R&D, manufacturing, export trade, installation and maintenance. Founded in 1956, the company took the first step toward becoming an elevator specialist by manufacturing its first freight elevator in 1973, and in 1982, it introduced elevator technology from Japan's Hitachi Corporation, and as a result of steady technology development, it was recognized as one of the top five brands in China's elevator industry in the 1990s. In recent years, based on its manufacturing know-how over the past 30 years, the company has continued to innovate in R&D and developed the GreenMAX series in 2004, which features high-tech, high efficiency and low energy consumption. "The series features an integrated intelligent control system, intelligent network maintenance, and high-efficiency PMSM gearless motors with low losses, high efficiency, simple structure, small size, and light weight," said a company official. With a 68-meter test tower, a high-level R&D center, and advanced production lines including material testing equipment, vibration measuring instruments, and special inspection equipment, the company jointly produces more than 15,000 elevator hoists annually with Hitachi. In addition, the company jointly produces subway screen doors with Westing house, and one-third of the world's guide rails with Sowera. The company, which has passed all international standard certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 from Germany's TUV, uses the city as a base to expand into the Middle East and Southeast Asia, and has overseas offices in Hong Kong, Macau, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Russia, Ethiopia, and Guatemala. |
